2. Keep abreast of AF and USAFA topics. The Chapter website (usafaspace.tripod.com) now has a message board/forum where members are posting information about USAF space activities. The interactive nature of the site makes it a great place to keep up to date and exchange views.
3. Keep the local community abreast of USAFA topics. I've been asked to join the Board of Advisors of the National Space Science and Technology Institute in the Springs, to help them maintain contact with the Space Chapter, the AOG, and the Academy. As mentioned in prior reports, they are developing plans for an infrared observatory on Pikes Peak and a Space Journey Exploration Center in Colorado Springs.
4. Provide graduates networking opportunities. We also have a chat room on the web site now, so networking is a lot easier.
7. Support the needs and objectives of the Academy. In fact, we've recently gotten feedback from the faculty that information posted on the web site is going to be used to support the Space Operations major.
9. Assist cadets. We are strengthening our contacts with the cadet leaders of the USAFA chapter of the National Space Society, to support their needs and interests.
