Space Group

Welcome! This site is the meeting place of US Air Force Academy graduates interested in strengthening the Academy's space-related programs and activities.

Purpose

The purpose of the Space Group is to strengthen understanding and awareness at USAFA of space contributions to national security, and to support cadet and faculty space-related activities.

Activities

The activities of the Group are unlimited. As examples, the following items are currently in work:

Speakers for cadet and faculty events

Arranging cadet field trips to space-related sites

Support for cadet summer training

Support for cadet clubs (e.g. AIAA, National Space Society) which deal with space matters

Support for cadet space-related projects, such as small satellites

Review and suggest ways to strenghten space-related curriculum

Support for space-related exhibits for the Cadet Area, the Academy Visitors' Center, and the Colorado Springs area

Mentoring cadets interested in space-related jobs or career
